Improving Air Quality in Urban Recreational Areas through Smart Traffic Management

Green parks are the only natural places for recreation in many metropolitan areas, and European Commission is seeking to improve their air quality and, consequently, citizens’ physical mental health. One of recently adopted approaches achieve pollution abatement these green areas by reducing nearby traffic. In this paper, we analyze impact traffic streets avoid proposing two different approaches. Our goal levels Valencia’s most significant limiting vehicular flow streets. To end, consider alternative solutions—a more restrictive one a less approach—in an attempt tradeoff between emission control congestion avoidance. Moreover, show how our proposal can reroute throughout city without having jam problems associated with proposed addition, determine data emissions vary due restrictions that enforce. The experimental results it possible improvements terms both restriction approaches; particular, partial isolation model, rates target area decreased 17%, which excellent initial result applicability effectiveness methods when adequate routing system adopted.
